LitSite Alaska is a project of the University of Alaska Anchorage, housed in the Office of Community Partnerships. LitSite enjoys an ongoing partnership with the Consortium Library and the Anchorage School District.

Additional support for LitSite Alaska has come from a variety of sources. LitSite Alaska received initial seed funding through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Alaska Literary Consortium (University of Alaska Anchorage, Alaska Center for the Book, The Island Institute, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Fairbanks Arts Association, and Alaska State Council on the Arts). LitSite also received support from KeyBank, Microsoft, and IBM.  Most recently, LitSite Alaska was the recipient of a major grant from the Rasmuson Foundation.
