Explosions from bombs bursting in the night,
Screams of children being held tight,
While they are rocked and held to sleep
Night goes by
Morning arrives
The place is in such a sight
From the explosions in the city
All the lights are burnt out
Due to the blackout of an attack
The skies scream for all the lives lost
The clouds choke on all the smoke
In which the sun hasn't even awoke
Sun has set with all the fears arising
To know a fight will come
When a star shows its side
One single bomb is released into a twirl
Spinning, tumbling, bouncing through the sky
The city is light with a deep orange swirl
When the bomb kissed the ground.
The ground is left in a smoldering ash
Of the bodies, building all the surroundings
In the pieces of shreds
To not know of anyone left
Within their world
All they know is they're alone
Until someone saves them from this hell.
