One
fine day a small Eskimo family was getting ready to eat, when the wife
noticed that the food supply was low, very low. Just enough to feed one
last meal.
So she told her husband to go hunting. With that the very obedient
husband went hunting. On his way out he discovered that the whole
town's food supply was also gone. The whole village would starve to
death if he didn't go hunting. So with that he set off on a long
journey.
As soon as the hunter had gone far enough into the woods, he began
to look for big animals to hunt. He was walking along when he suddenly
spotted some brown bear tracks. This was only the hunter's second hunt
and he wasn't ready to track down a live brown bear. But the rumbling
in his stomach told him to follow the tracks.
A few hours went by and then he found the bear! He was humongous...so big he could eat six caribou or deer in only one day.
"I will catch and kill you," said the hunter. "You will feed my village," he went on.
"Oh, no, please don't kill me," said the bear...I will catch a lot
of deer and caribou for you and your village, if you will let me live."
"Well," thought the hunter. "Okay. But you have to promise."
"All right," said the bear. "I promise."
The next morning in the village the hunter awoke. He went outside
and the food supply was restored with caribou and deer. There were bear
tracks!
"Do you know anything about a bear?" asked his wife.
He only said..."Bear? What Bear!?"
