Packhorses for the Mt. McKinley Tourist & Transportation Company

Packhorses for the Mt. McKinley Tourist & Transportation Company transported tourists around the park. Writing on the back of this picture taken in the mid-1920s reads: "East Fork of Toklat River, Mt. McKinley National Park, showing the fine horses used by the Trans[portation] Co. to handle tourists through the park." Anchorage Museum of History and Art, Library and Archives.
