In the years following World War II, the Arctic Alaska Travel Agency arranged the longest trip by bus in the country: from Key West, Florida, to Fairbanks, Alaska. The wife and children of a young serviceman arrived after weeks on the road. Archives, University of Alaska Fairbanks.
