At the presentation of the 49-star flag

"U. S. Senator from Alaska, Bob Bartlett and Governor Wm. Egan pose together on the occasion of Bartlett's formal presentation to the State of the first 49-star flag to fly above the west front of the U. S. Capitol. The Senator holds a certification by George J. Stewart, Capitol Architect, attesting that the flag was flown over the Capitol on July 4, 1959."
