Andrew Hope, Sr., was only 15 years old when the ANB was chartered at Sitka, and 17 when the 1914 convention was held in Sitka. He would become a respected leader in the ANB as well as in territorial and state politics. Hope died in 1968. R. N. DeArmond photo. Alaska State Library.
