CHAPTER 1: THE FOREST

            Meet Lucy. She is a cat. She is very shy and quiet. Lucy is very chubby too. Lucy is very curious. All the other cats at Kitten Academy call her a "scaredy cat." Lucy is angry at the name-calling! She looks at the forest. She thinks that it does look scary... but she runs in! She hears something loud! Oh no, she runs back out of the forest! She did not know that she had only heard herself, nothing else was in the forest with her. Maybe, the other cats at Kitten Academy were right, Lucy is a little bit of a scaredy cat.

CHAPTER 2: MOVING TO HAWAII

            Soon Lucy is moving to Hawaii with her family. Lucy can't wait! She gets ready by packing her stuff. She packs her mouse toy, her sunscreen, her water dish, and her treats. Lucy can't wait to make new friends and leave her old nemesis, the forest, behind. Lucy is very excited to visit Honolulu. She likes warm sunshine. Lucy can't wait to try surfing with her owner. Lucy hopes she won't be a scaredy cat in the ocean.

CHAPTER 3: ARRIVING IN HAWAII

            When Lucy finally goes to Hawaii, she sees the pretty sunset. She watches the green spots go back into the ocean. Lucy learns that they are only harmless sea turtles. Lucy has nothing to fear from the turtles. They can't hurt her. Lucy's favorite part of Hawaii is running through the lush grass and smelling the beautiful flowers. Lucy loves to go surfing. After surfing she gets a snow cone for her hard work. Every now and then, she eats the snow cone too fast. Lucy gets a brain-freeze. Lucy finishes her snow cone, and she is full and sleepy. Lucy's owner carries her back to their home, and she watches the sunset. Lucy is glad to be in Hawaii.
