Memorabilia concerning the unveiling of the Ernest Gruening statue in the National Statuary Hall, 1977. Ernest Gruening, Alaska State Library. Includes copy of Senate Con. Res. 25, 9/26/1977, accepting the statue of Senator Ernest Gruening and the program for the unveiling of the statue.

Papers of Helen D. Blair, 1938-1973. Helen D. Blair; George D. Blair; Marie Drake; Ernest Gruening; Isabelle Lee Braaten; Francis M. Menager. Alaska State Library. Collection includes correspondence, manuscripts, poems, newspaper clippings and photographs.

Joseph T. Flakne Papers, 1926-1999. University of Alaska, Elmer E. Rasmuson Library. The papers of Joseph T. Flakne (1900-1999) consist of correspondence, clippings, photographs, journals, and personal papers documenting Flakne's long career in public service in Alaska and in federal agencies concerned with Alaska. His records as Alaska Chief of the Division of Territories with the Department of the Interior especially document federal involvement in such areas as education, transportation, medicine, and natural resource management in the territory of Alaska after World War II. Flakne's correspondents include many Alaskan notables such as Ernest Gruening, E.L. "Bob" Bartlett, Charles Bunnell, Terris and Katrina Moore, Ernest Patty, William Cashen, and Mardy Murie.

JFSLUPC hearings, Washington D.C. Joint Federal-State Land Use Planning Commission for Alaska. 2005. Elmer E. Rasmuson Library, Alaska State Library. Including: Former Alaska Governor and Senator Ernest Gruening talks about his remembrances of the establishment of McKinley Park in 1917, and about the need for reconciliation between conservation and development interests. He mentions the proposed Rampart Dam project and says that the benefits of that project would have outweighed the drawbacks.
