Student Example: Two Old Women Collage
By Kelly McCord

I created a collage of the book Two Old Women.   I used the quote "We must be brave and face them.  But my friend, be prepared for anything," as the center point for my collage.  The upper right portion represents the Athabascan people, the lower right represents the independence of the two old women, and the lower left  involves the theme of the wolves and the upper left area symbolizes unity.  I basically used the collage to point out the three main themes of what the story was about.  I also included my own bead work in the collage.
