Craig Tessen's War Poem
By Craig Tessen
Genre: Poetry Level: High School 10-12
Category: Student Examples

When it all started President Bush said so calm,
We're coming to get you and your crew Saddam,
The U.S. will come take your weapons of mass destruction,
Drop some bombs on your cities,
Then start the reconstruction.

All you had to do is cooperate man,
You left me no choice but to open a can
I'm bombin&Mac226; and blastin&Mac226; your city,
But you left me no choice so now I feel no pity.

You reward the suicide bomber,
For that you're sicker then Jeffry Dahmer.
It only took three weeks to take over your land,
Now I hope Iraq and U.S. will some day work hand in hand
