My
most important thing is a sapphire and diamond ring given to me by my
great aunt Ethel. The ring's band is made of white gold, and on top, a
circle of six sapphires encircle a small chip of diamond. It gives the
impression of a sapphire flower with a small diamond middle. It is too
big for my pinky and too small for my index finger, but it fits nicely
on the ring finger of my right hand. I only wear it on special
occasions because it is very special to me.
My great aunt Ethel presented it to me on the last day I spent at
her house last summer vacation. She lives in Colonial Beach, so when I
went on vacation last summer to visit my mom's dad in Virginia, we
drove to her house for a while. My mother, little sister, and I stayed
there for almost a week. Then, on the last day, she gave it to me. That
was the second time I visited her. The first time I was in diapers, and
I didn't remember her. I love her very much, and I don't know when I
will see her again, so that is why my sapphire ring is so special to
me. It also helps me to remember her.
