Kara's Important Thing
By Kara
Genre: Non-fiction
Category: Student Examples

soccer ballWe were screaming and cheering as the final whistle of the championship game of the Midnight Sun Soccer Tournament blew. The final whistle blowing meant the game was over, and the score, 3-1, meant my team had won the tournament.

My important thing is the soccer ball we got for winning the tournament. It is important to me because it helps me remember winning our first tournament and how much fun we had on the trip to Fairbanks for the tournament. It was so cool that we got to be in the championship game; we did so well. The ball is also special because my whole team signed it. It helps me recall the great time we had camping as a team and playing together in the soccer games. While I hold the ball, I remember the championship game and it brings back great memories.

Out of all the things that make me happy, help me remember fantastic times, and are very special to me, the soccer all my team won at the Midnight Sun Soccer Tournament is definitely my most important thing.
