Jocelyn's Important Thing
By Jocelyn
Genre: Non-fiction
Category: Student Examples

dollsI have many special things: stuffed animals, jewelry, my blanket, pictures, and toys. But, out of all those things, I decided to pick these dolls, because they remind me of when I was little. My dad gave these three little dolls to me when I was a toddler. I have a little house for them too. They went almost everywhere with me! In fact, I even carried them around in a blue velvet "Royal Salute" bag.

All three of these dollies are two and a half inches long, the perfect size for the hands of a two-and-a-half year-old. My parents say that I was truly adorable when I carried them in my chubby fists, which is something I remember doing. My parents say they were one of the best things they ever bought me.

Now that I have stopped carrying them around, I keep them in my "special box," which sits in my closet on the top shelf. I like to take it out to look at my special treasures. Whenever I open that box, I see my dolls and think of all the fun I had with them.

As I've said before, these dolls are just one of the many special things I treasure. I also believe that these dolls? adventures aren't over yet. My younger cousins like to play with them, and I'm sure that my kids will also. If they last that long!
