Things Not Seen, By Andrew Clements
Imagine waking up one morning, and taking a shower. Sounds pretty
normal, right? Maybe. But then, when you look in mirror, what would you
think if you saw no reflection? This is exactly what happens to Bobby
Phillips. One of my favorite parts is when he befriends a blind girl,
Alicia. To her, he is just a nice boy who wants to be friends. She
isn't constantly poking and prodding at him every waking hour like his
mad scientist father, or always worrying like his anxious mother. The
main outline of this story is Bobby's family trying to find out how to
get Bobby back to normal before the school gets too nosey. But also, it
is a tale of friendship. I enjoyed this book so much; I wish that
Andrew Clements would write a sequel for it.
