One day Raven was flying around looking for some food when he saw
Beaver messing around with his tail. Raven flew down and asked, "What
are you doing?"
Beaver
said, "Well, I have to find a way to warn the other animals when danger
is near, but I can't find a way to do it. Do you have any ideas?"
"No, I do not have an idea, but if I run into any animals I will tell them about your problem." So then Raven flew off.
After a little while of flying around looking for some food, he
spotted Fox playing by himself. He flew down and asked, "What are you
doing?"
Fox said, "Well, I was playing with one of my friends but they
decided to do something else so I decided to invent a game. When I was
done with that I decided to play my new game. That is what I am doing
right now. Would you like to play?"
Raven said, "I do not know, but I guess one game could not hurt."
So Fox taught Raven this new game and they started playing. So,
after they were done playing the new game, Raven told Fox about
Beaver's problem and said, "If you have an idea go to Beaver and tell
it to him."
Fox listened and said, "Okay, if I have a solution I will tell Beaver."
Then Raven flew off.
Just a few minutes after he left Fox, he saw Seagull sitting on a
rock thinking. So Raven flew down and asked, "What are you thinking
about?"
Seagull then said, "Well, I have to find something to give my mom
for her birthday but I cannot think of anything." Raven then said, "I
have something simple for you to give your mother, but you might not
like it. You could give your mother some flowers."
"Well," said Seagull, "it is an idea. I might do it or I might not
give her some flowers." Then, before Raven flew off, he told Seagull
about Beaver's problem.
Seagull said, "When I find something to give my mother, I will think about that."
Then Raven flew off.
After dealing with Seagull, he said, "I am going to find some food."
He started flying around and he saw Bear's house, so he flew down and
knocked on the door. When no one answered, he decided to go in and see
if anyone was home, and, in fact, Bear was home cooking some food.
Raven asked him if he had some to spare. Bear said, "Yes, I do." So
Bear and Raven ate something. Then he told Bear about Beaver's problem,
and Bear said, "I do not have any ideas for his problem, but I will
think about it."
So Raven decided to go home, but before he got there, he ran into
Fox. He asked if Raven had seen Beaver and Raven said, "No, I have not
seen him but I think he is at his house."
So Fox ran to where Beaver lived and surely enough, Beaver was
there. Fox said to Beaver, "I am going to jump on your tail and then
you can slap your tail in the water to warn the other animals when
danger is near."
So Fox jumped on his tail, and Beaver could slap his tail against the water.
