Category: Student Examples

Shawna Tingen's maskOnce there was a man named Shanook who did not live in happiness but lived in sadness. He lost his wife and child in a very bad plane wreck.

One day the man heard a voice when he was sleeping and it was singing a song.

"Rock a bye baby in a tree top,
When the wind blows the top will go off,
When the house top blows off mama will come to
Get the precious Jacob in my arms."

Then the man suddenly remembered that his wife sang that song to their son Jacob. Shanook was scared. The next night Shanook couldn't sleep. He was still thinking about the night before. He lay in bed wondering what that song was. It was 12:00 midnight when he heard that song again.

"Rock a bye baby in a tree top,
When the wind blows the top will go off,
When the house top blows off mama will come to
Get the precious Jacob in my arms."

Shanook finally figured it out. The ghost of his wife was haunting him in a good way. Later on that day when he went to the cemetery it was Jacob's birthday. When the man went shopping he met an Eskimo woman who he thought was just beautiful. The woman's name was Gracia.

Gracia went over to Shanook's house for dinner. After dinner she went home. They found they were in love so they got married. After they'd been married for one year, they found out that Gracia was pregnant. By the time they were at their fifth anniversary they had three beautiful children Their names were Angela, Deadra and the last one was named after Shanook's first wife Domanique. But even until that day the voice was still haunting him in a good way.

The End
