Once upon a time there was a little boy.
He wanted to go hunting, and he did.
When he was walking on the tundra he saw a caribou, tried to shoot
it but it moved and he ran after it. When he was running he saw a wolf.
He backed up carefully and he ran home.
When he got home he ran to his mom. "Mom, Mom," he said. "What is
it," said the mom. "I, I saw a wolf," he said. "You're just dreaming,"
said the mom. Then he ran to his dad.
"Dad, Dad," he said. "What is it?" Dad said. I saw a wolf. "You did?"
"I did."
"Well, show it to me."
They ran to the spot the boy saw the wolf. The wolf was still there
but it caught the caribou the boy was running after. When they got
there, the wolf jumped up and ran after the dad. The boy got the meat
and they ran home.
When they got home the mom said, "where did you get that meat?"
"We got it from a wolf."
"A WOLF!?"
"Yes, a wolf."
"Do you know what great danger you put yourselves in?"
By now the mom was yelling at them for the men's punishment, they had to catch fish for dinner and fix dinner.
That next morning, the boy got up at dawn to go see if the wolf was ok. He took his bow and arrow and he started on his way.
He started on the tundra and when he was walking he saw a snowshoe hare. He did not eat breakfast so he shot it with his bow.
He started a fire to cook his meat. when he took a bit, he saw a
wolf. It was the same one that he saw before and he was very quiet. He
threw some meat to the wolf and when the wolf picked the meat up, the
wolf pack came up right behind the leader.
He got up very carefully and ran home as fast as he could.
When he got in this house his mom and dad was still sleeping and he
yelled "Mom, Dad, there are wolves on our house," but his mom and dad
did not hear him so he got the thing that covered the top of the house
and the wolves did not get in. He was happy, safe inside.
