In this late 1940s image, the Department of Health’s Mobile Health Unit truck traveled Alaska’s highways to reach Interior villages. The Alaska Native Service and the Alaska Tuberculosis Association were cooperating agencies with the Department of Health. University of Alaska Anchorage, Archives and Manuscripts.
