The memorial stone near the crash site is inscribed, "Will Rogers and Wiley Post, 'America's Ambassadors of Good Will,' ended life’s flight here August 15, 1935. This stone was taken from the same quarry as that used in building Oklahoma’s memorial to Will Rogers at Claremore, Oklahoma, U.S.A." Also, "In memory of Brother Will Rogers, Top of the World Masonic Club K.C.B.D. 1058. – 1945 – ." Anchorage Museum of History and Art, Library and Archives.
