A man reads the Army-Navy Register in the headquarters tent of the WAMCATS construction project. Visible on a box is a typewriter, and one of the boxes is a crate of bacon that held six 12-pound cans that were packed in May 1911 in Buffalo, New York. Archives, University of Alaska Fairbanks.
