More WAMCATS cable was offloaded at Valdez on September 26, 1904, and men were enlisted to carry the loads from the beach to the telegraph office. This P. S. Hunt image shows Valdez businesses such as Valdez Mercantile Co. and Alaska Pacific Navigation. Anchorage Museum of History and Art, Library and Archives.
