Military crews and miners were tapped to work the WAMCATS project

Military crews as well as down-and-out miners were tapped to work the WAMCATS project. Here, infantrymen made up the right-of-way brushing crew in the Gulkana section of the route. Anchorage Museum of History and Art, Library and Archives.
