AMRC-b85-27-701 Fairbanks mayor Dr. F. Dela Vergne hands pilot Noel Wien a letter for delivery as he prepares to undertake the first commercial flight to Nome. The Fokker monoplane left Fairbanks on June 4, 1925, and made the flight in seven hours and 40 minutes, arriving June 5.
