This O. D. Goetze photo depicts an enormous nugget found by Pioneering Mining Company at Discovery claim on Anvil Creek, Nome. Weighing 182 ounces and valued at $3,276.00, the nugget was discovered on September 8, 1903. Anchorage Museum of History and Art, Library and Archives.
