In a 1909 letter to his young daughter in Seattle, B. J. wrote that he was one of seven partners in the Tillecum Mining Company on Cleary Creek. He may be among the miners pictured here in this photo by Albert J. Johnson. Archives, University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
