Baby bear cubs in her buggy

Hila V. Taylor helps little Mary Oulette situate a pair of baby bear cubs in her buggy in this early 1920s photo from a roadhouse along the upper Tanana River. Taylor's Roadhouse also was a fox farm and was located 39 miles from McCarty's Roadhouse (now a historic site near Delta Junction called Rika's Roadhouse). Archives, University of Alaska Fairbanks.
