Until the Yukon River bridge was completed, crews crossed the frozen river on an ice bridge. Photographer Steve McCutcheon noted on this image dated April 17, 1975: "Yukon ice bridge got sloppy in the spring, but still plenty of ice to support multiple vehicles."
