McKinley Park Station

The Alaska Railroad train pulls into McKinley Park Station, where two passenger vehicles meet the train. Before the Denali Highway opened in 1957, visitors to Mount McKinley arrived by railroad. With the opening of the Parks Highway in 1972, the Denali Highway saw little traffic. Alaska State Library.
