Annual trip to Tanana

Photograph of people from Stevens Village traveling by canoe to Tanana for their annual trip. Narrative in the album reads: "The above pictures were taken by Mr. Paul Shultz in the spring and summer of 1910 before our arrival." "The first one shows the Indians embarking on the Yukon for their annual spring trip to Tanana, 250 miles down the river. Formerly this was a regular occurrence, but it has been discontinued."  Archives, University of Alaska Fairbanks.
