The Chalet at Girdwood

Winter 2000

Dear Emma,

Alyeska Resort, just 40 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska, is the best! My Mom and I went to the top and skied all the way down. I, however, managed to trip over my skis a few times. The weather here is perfect for skiing, and I know you would be having a blast if you were here with us. We had a great time eating yummy hamburgers for lunch at the Chalet at the top of the mountain. After lunch we took a nap in our rooms. The Prince Hotel makes us feel like royalty. I wish you were here so we could go skiing and fall down together!

Love,
Kayli Nielson
